Two triumphs in Tashkent: Almaty Circus performers took gold and silver at the Silk Road Festival

Два триумфа в Ташкенте: артисты Алматинского цирка взяли золото и серебро на фестивале «Шелковый путь»

Artists from the Kazakh State Circus made a strong showing at the 2nd Silk Road International Youth Circus Arts Festival, winning two prestigious awards—gold and silver.

A large-scale festival held in Tashkent and organized by the Uzbek Circus brought together talented young artists from around the world, providing a platform for sharing experiences, showcasing their skills, and strengthening creative ties.

The “Air Sphere” paired ring act, performed by Jasmine Alshinbaeva, a circus dynasty successor, and Avelina Guzey under the direction of Zarina Tapalova, caused a real sensation. The performers demonstrated impeccable synchronicity, flexibility, and emotional delivery, deservedly winning the festival’s gold award.

Ali Salavatov, an artist with the Almaty Circus (directed by Ravilt Seidgariyev), was awarded a silver medal for his act “Juggling Balls on the Floor.” His performance was distinguished by its high technique, precision, and expressiveness.

The success of the Almaty artists once again confirmed the high level of the Kazakhstani circus school, which for many years has been cultivating professionals who represent the country with dignity on the international stage.

The festival also saw an important event for the development of cultural cooperation: the Kazakh State Circus and the State Circus of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum on further cooperation. The document provides for the development of joint projects, artist exchanges, production initiatives, and participation in international programs.

The victorious performance at the festival and the signing of the memorandum marked an important step in strengthening creative ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as further confirmation of the high level of the Almaty circus school on the international stage.
